Description
These mask were presented in-tribe to a relative of our staff who was allowed inroads to many Countries where others could not go. This was in the 1950/60’s. About all we can say about that but suffice to say that these are one of a kind and not tourist masks. We would suggest that they are very special as they were given in ceremony to the relative. Super dense and heavy wood and of course hand carved.
Beautifully detailed and they have a crude deep hanging hole at the top/back. They are about 15″ long and have a beautiful coloring. We can’t pinpoint the tribe at this point but even a cursory research based on quality will reveal just how inexpensive this set is.
