Description
Hand stretched canvas and hand painted and signed K. Scott.
Our retail manager has owned this for many years and it was done shortly after the 1967 original. Of course the original by Frazetta sold for a record breaking 1 million dollars. You can have this for 85% off!!
It was purchased sometime in the mid 1980’s and the piece was done in the very early 1970’s based on notes made at the time of the purchase from an estate. No further history of the artist could be located and we are unsure if he was involved in the comic world or not though based on the quality he certainly was a decent artist.
The artist has done a very good job and the details are fantastic. There is one portion at the very top that appears touched up but also appears to be done by the artist and matched well enough to not be overly noticeable on hanging. We have highlighted it with our lighting and also taken a close-up of that area.
Professionally framed in detailed wood frame with White cloth border and ready to hang. 32″ x 44″ framed. Canvas marked 24″ x 36″ as is the framed area notation on the frame itself.
Full size picture shows the best color representation we are able to produce.
The original was the cover art for the “Conan the Conqueror” paperback put out by Lancer.
