Description
Poster has been glued into its period Yellow matting but it has kept it in fantastic condition. Plain back of matting” has some tears. Top/left of poster has small surface piece of background missing and an even smaller spot at the bottom/left. As best we can figure (top portion pulls away slightly to see poster in matting), the poster extends about 1/2″ under the Yellow framing and piece as mounted measures 18″ x 24″.
Though we don’t suggest it, the poster could be pulled from this front matting and cropped (to remove any damaged edges from pulling out of the matting) to show the image as it appears inside the cut mat frame. Obviously we can’t guarantee that and suggest putting it back in the now missing standard frame for display.
Of all of Max’s public service posters, we have found this to be the hardest to come by. In fact, this is the only one we have seen in any useable condition and this is a nice example.
