Description
Great, elaborate and funny trick that starts with the spectator thinking of any card in the deck. The magician takes out his “Magic Data Controller” and shows and eye test chart along with some funny tricks along the way. For example, the Magician explains that in order for him to perform the mind reading for the selected card is based on the eyes being the windows of the mind and good eyes are key and shows the spectator the eye chart that represents the cards in the deck. Asking “Do you still have an eye on the card?….let’s see” and he turns the card over to see a flickering eye. The eye chart is brought back up and the spectator is asked if his card is represented on the first then second then third all the way to the tiniest row. Then the Magician says “Now for a memory test…what was on the back of the card”. When the spectator replies the card is flipped and it has the letter “i” on it and the Magician states “Correct!”. This is actually the lamest of the tricks throughout but the easiest to explain.
One trick involves a computer card that makes a clicking noise as you press the “buttons”. This trick notes an “antenna” that you pull out though I don’t remember doing that myself and there is no antenna. It is a minor point and if you want to follow the patter strictly you could insert something easily yourself as it is not a technical thing.
I should also note that instructions say it includes a President Nixon card for but this one has been replaced (as made) with a Clown card so antenna issue might be purposeful without instruction rewrite. I also expect this was to make it more universal so it could be performed for kids (who really love it by the way).
Manufactured by Magic Inc. of Illinois. Front of instruction booklet has testimonials by Aubrey D. Clarke (The Great Clarko), Jay Marshall and Roger Siegel all singing its praises.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions since it is such a lengthily trick. Great party or bar routine, you’ll love it. I’ve never seen another survivor. Oh, yeah, eventually you pull off the trick too!
