Description
He has threatened for years but he just hasn’t had the mental wellness to part with any of his quite extensive, and usually rare, Reggae, Calypso and otherwise island feel record collection but our retail manger has finally come to his senses and he’s ready to pass along these rarities to someone who actually has the time to play them!
Please look at the pictures and general description since grading terminology and ideology vary greatly, each item will have a large format (generally around 10″ x 10″ before trimming) picture(s) to illustrate condition. These pictures can be enlarged either by downloading them or changing your screen resolution and they show better detail than can easily be described.
1968. Some stray fingerprints that I have not used any solution on and will likely clean up even further than this sparkling example already is. If you know the Heptones I don’t have to say a word, if you don’t your in for a real treat. This classic Rock Steady album includes what, to me, was the heart of the early Heptones, Leroy Sibbles. Throw in the fact that they are backed by Jackie Mittoo and his Soul Vendors AND it’s produced by the legendary Coxsone Dodd and you have a piece of Reggae history in your hands…..maybe! Matrix number: SOLP 0134B, opposite is “Soundwave” which is stamped (versus being etched).
