Matched original pair with identical style numbers on the original backing paper. Approximately 11 3/4″ x 14 3/4″ in their original frames. We are told but cannot confirm without removing the tile that the tiles are 8″ x 11 3/8″.
Great matched set of stylized female and male African dancers. Decorations are done in 22 karat gold. The male figure is missing a single dot embellishment on the drum (see pictures).
The frames have faux inspected by stickers from an old store, they are actually the security tags. Removing them will remove the plain brown backing paper so we have left them in place.
Tiles and frames show some dust and dirt (seen best on close ups) and we have not made any attempts to clean these, this will be left to the buyer. We assume just some warm water on soft cloth will work without effecting the tile or frame.
Otherwise the pieces show normal aging for a piece of this age that includes some occasional glaze crazing.
We have provided sliced close up photos to properly judge the nice condition of these pieces.
