Nice set that includes his “Sings Ballads – Blues” Electra 114 record with personalized autograph on the back side. Josh White autographs are extremely scarce. Inscriptions reads “To Beautiful Judy Luck and I mean good luck (underlined) . Ok? (underlined). Further marked by him “(Summer 1960. Ravinia). Owners name, Applegate, in pen below and to the right of the inscription.
We have to include the other Josh White album, the classic “The Story of John Henry…a musical narrative” from this same owner to keep this long held collection together.
Josh White Sings Ballads – Blues, Elektra 114, 1957. This album is very well preserved and surface scratches are most likely caused by the sleeve rather then playing. Overall very good++ condition for much less then normal wear and surface markings. Sleeve is very good+ and original inner sleeve is excellent.
Josh White the story of John Henry…a musical narrative also Ballads, Blues and other songs, Elektra 123, 1957, is in overall good condition and shows normal play wear and surface scratches on both sides though should play fine. Outer sleeve is overall good+ with owners name in ink at back top.
Historical little set in nice condition especially with the age considered.
