Vintage print displayed in officers office in original period frame. Entitled “Knocking out the Moros / The U.S. Army in Action” as noted on the descriptive War Office label on the back. Describes the Battle of Bagsack Mountain that took place between June 11-15, 1913. Further mentions that the .45 caliber pistol was developed to meet the need for a weapon with enough striking power to stop the fanatical Moro tribesmen in hand-to-hand fighting.

Comes in original war office frame with full framer label on the back from Cohen’s Picture Store in Washington, D.C.. Hand penciled numbers on back, likely some sort of War office inventory numbers. Outer frame shows some slight wear and paint lose. 15 3/4″ x 21 3/4″ framed.
