1949. MARX BROS.!!! Huge, 14″ x 21″ folded book, as sent. One page is mostly cut, one small cut on two pages and one page has center ~7″ mat cut effecting some image on the other side. Last two pages of book are complete but separated and cover has some large areas of disconnection though still can be opened and closed. This is one of the most impressive books we’ve seen if for no other reason than the huge number of pictures of the many, many, advertising tie-ins of the time. These companies included Cherrios (shows back panel of box with picture of Groucho), Curtis Candy / Babe Ruth, Kool cigarettes, RC cola, Mobil Gas, Optimo cigars, and more. Each of these sections shows a nice illustration of the advertising. One page features great comic illustrations boxes to be used as teaser ads. Also the normal fare of illustrations of posters and ads along with 3 page newspaper like publicity along with many great photos. Don’t let the detailed description of minor defects fool you, this is a great book. Overall G+++ for use.
