1970, first edition. We just found 3 of these super scarce hardback books. Book was actually published by Matchbox and features cartoon character named Mike (little boy) writing to someone named Ben primarily about his tour of the Lesney factory. Book details the modest beginnings of the two Englishmen who started the Matchbox phenomena. Lots of illustration detailing the making of Matchbox cars. We have two in Exc.+ shape at this price and one that has sticker residue (white) on the lower front right corner that is otherwise Exc+ for $55. This white backing will likely come off (we’ve removed most of it already!).
