16 1/4″ tall. Working nicely. Very little use wear, overall excellent+. Couple of scratches on globe as seen in picture.
Please note that during transit your globe may develop some “cloudiness”. This is normal. Here is a synopsis from the official lava lamp manufacturer notes that still apply today:
“Why is the liquid cloudy?
Sometimes due to being in transit, you may occasionally receive a cloudy unit. If your lava lamp arrives cloudy, turn the lamp on until the wax breaks up and as soon as it begins, shut the lamp off again until it cools.
Do this short burst technique 4 to 6 times or until the cloudiness goes away.
Cloudy globes are NOT considered defective.”
Vintage lamps in particular take a little loving care to get them flowing as nicely as we did and the on/off burst technique is how to achieve it.
