Description
We’ve actually been researching these pieces off and on for many years. It’s painstaking as you literally have to look at tons and tons of actual cartoons start to finish to look for the individual scenes/cels. Painstaking but never the less fun! Believe it or not we actually found the Jerry image and it is from the 1965 episode entitled “Much Ado about Mousing” (1964) animated by Ben Washam, Ken Harris, Don Townsley, Tom Ray and Dick Thompson. Produced and directed by the legendary Chuck Jones.
Classic images from an equally classic episode featuring the Bulldog who gives Jerry a whistle to call him if Jerry Bothers him after rescuing the dog from the dog catcher.
We did not see the Tom running cel but these are from the same collector and appear to have similar markings so we have to believe they are from this episode and our bleary cartoon wreaked eyes missed it. Clearly same period.
Professionally framed in cool dual matted format to illustrate the action. Framer’s protective Plexiglas used to protect images from light exposure. Framed purposefully to show original animation easel holes and notations at bottom. Once in a lifetime opportunity to own these stereotypical images. It’s big too! 14 1/4″ x 29 3/4″ framed. Fantastic on the wall, we look at it everyday in our offices and will be sad to see it go.
