Description
50’s. 23″ x 17 1/2″ glossy color poster that pictures a finger snapping, young!, Frankie in striped Grey jacket, Black pants and White shoes. Next to image on Blue background is a simulated inscription and signature that reads “An Avalanche of Thanks, Frankie Avalon”. Poster has a crease mark both vertically and horizontally as shipped along with a horizontal crease about 1″ at the top, again as packed/shipped. Poster is VG+.
“Swingin’ on a Rainbow” is an early work of Avalons on Chancellor records and the heavy, glossy, cover opens to reveal a picture page insert that is in addition to the many photos that are already on the opposing faces of the open cover that include publicity shots from his role in “Guns of the Timberland” with Alan Ladd. Also has a write up on Frankie’s then brief (he is 19 here and this is his 3rd album) career. Cover is Exc+ and has great color head shots of Frankie on both the front and back. Record, too, is in remarkable condition, Exc++.
