1901 for the New York Herald. Great heavily illustrated color 14″ x 18″ (including black cut mat). Black memorabilia with a letter from Pore Lil Mose to his Ma telling the story of his misadventures aboard a Trolley ride with his pals Lil Bouncie Bear, Cat, Dog and Monkey. Around the note are pictures illustrating the calamity and feature exterior and interior shots of an early cable car. Fantastic art work by R. F. Outcault of “The Yellow Kid” and “Buster Brown” fame, among others NM and rare.
